Video Magazines

best for: grades 4-12

So let's create our own video magazine, weaving in content across the curriculum!

This interactive classroom session makes that content come to life through dialogue and the magic of video, with the students writing segments and commercials that are collaboratively generated and then filmed. 

The segments are chock full of factual information; the commercials offer an opportunity for humor and creativity.

It's a workshop that is especially effective for chapter review in Social Studies and Science.

Steve gave the students a chance to write in a genre that is not usually covered in a 9th grade classroom. It was a joy, as well as a learning experience.
