Spofford Pond Elementary School
I had a great day at the Spofford Pond Elementary School helping 4th graders create a collaborative chapter book of cliff-hangers.
The title was Daisy Dinosaur' s Disaster, with such chapter titles as Terrible Tango, Pizza Face To Go and Golf Ball-a-Saurus! Thanks to Principal Kathryn Castonguay, Bonnie Thornborough of the PTO and all of the 4th grade teachers and students!
Journey House
Milwaukee, WI
The opportunity to work with the dedicated staff of Journey House and the scholar/athletes there in Milwaukee was a special treat!
I helped the scholar-athletes write two stories and I introduced them to my alter ego, Floyd Flapjacque, for a journalism workshop.
The post-lunch talk/question-and-answer session was impressive for the thoughtful questions I received. Thanks for inviting me to visit!

I had the opportunity to help the four second-grade classes create their own stories, featuring Cluck-Cluck Cheetah, Pine E. Porcupine, Clara Flamingo and Cooper Red Panda! Great kids, great teachers, great staff, great fun in the classroom!!
